Somerset Housing are constantly on the lookout for new opportunities to provide affordable housing. We are looking for both Greenfield and Brownfield opportunities. Somerset are also keen to look at sites on the edge of communities that are currently not within the development boundary, as we have the benefit of being able to achieve affordable housing planning permission as an exception to any open market house builders.
We are generally looking for sites that can accommodate housing stock of between 10 and 50 units. This is predominantly housing, although we do also have the scope to incorporate some apartments into our schemes.
Somerset concentrate a significant amount of time to land acquisition and have the in house skill set and contacts to find sites and not only deliver them through the legal process, but also the architectural and planning process. We are happy to acquire any site without planning or adapt schemes that have already achieved a permission, so that we can conform to building the optimum size and quality of design and construction required for our homeowners in the future.
Somerset are currently concentrating on the West Midlands and all surrounding counties, with land buyers capable of buying in each and every county.
